After raised beds were put into the front yard at one of Urban Edge’s properties, Wardman Apartments, everyone wanted to get involved and plant something!
Urban Edge staff joined residents and volunteers to plant veggies in new raised garden beds for the whole community to enjoy, and to inspire others to join in and get their hands dirty!
After a few short weeks, resident Martha Jefferson’s veggies had grown tremendously. These garden beds are full of mustard greens, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, lettuce, beans, and collard greens.
